It's been 10 years since my wife and I have been there, was happy to get back there this year, so here are some photos I took of the entire estate so others can get a feel for the event and grounds... https://pbase.com/btd/stan

There was one Fiero there, a red 88 GT auto, and I forgot to take a photo of it, duh!

For me, it's a toss-up between the beautiful blue Toronado or the exquisite brunette in the 6th photo. I'd take the brunette if I had the option but somehow, I have a feeling she's taken

Ha, she will be happy to hear that.

Amazing place that is, best to tour the gardens first thing in the morning before the masses arrive, hope to make it there again next year.

I have been to this show a couple times. I get a little disgusted with them as if the car is not show room stock they will not let you enter.

I have changes to my car but most are Pontiac prototype parts and they will not accept them.

What is funny they will not let me enter but years ago before the car was 25 years old they would let me park in the show. They even parked me in with the sports cars like Ferrari 275 GT's and Jags and the like. That year I went in I had a crowd gather around the car. I told my buddy to get out and walk away before they find out it is a Fiero and make us move LOL!.

For gods sake even Pebble Beach is catering too not 100%. stock vehicles anymore.

The show to go to at Stan Hywet is the fall show that they have had the last two years. You have to be invited but the types and kinds of cars are amazing. If far surpasses the fathers day show in wow factor. They have a ton of exotics and you will see things there you will seldom see anyplace else. Frank Todaro started it one as charity event and two to continue what was stated at the Glenmoore Concourse.

There is no judging and it is just a fun day on the lawn. The last show a guy drove down from Ashtabula in a real Cheeta. A friend of mine from Green brought in a Ford GT40, Ferrari F40, Pantera, Ford GT, Maserati and other cars from his collection. They drove them all in. A ex co worker of mine got to drive the F40 in.

One year a guy came in with a 3 wheel Davis. I had only seen photos of one. A VW from WWII attends it is a Beetle Staff car and is one of the oldest Beatles in the world.

My Favorite is the Ferrai Lusso that attends.

Two years ago even an Enzo and Lambo Sian attended.

Now keep in mind a large number of classic cars from V16 Cadillacs and others attend as well as a Kurtis roadster etc. Even some really nice hot rods are brought in.

The cool part is Frank likes my car and they even let in a Fiero.

I didn't take my Fiero to the show, we just wanted to enjoy the entire estate.

(amazing how many people at that car show have no idea those gardens are behind the house)

I'm hoping to make it to the fall show this year.

If they have the fall show come. It is a fun show. Food is good and they even set up speakers with music and tV screens for the football game.

One year Goodyear sent Wingfoot 0ne to the show for a good bit of the afternoon. Not many car shows get a blimp.

People set up chairs along the drive and watch the cars come and go. It is like a parade in a show.

They just got done with a lot of work on the house and restored a number of rooms back to the original 1915 furnishings. The stuff out back is all new in the gardens. It was just restored. At one time the property went for 100’s of acres.

The spring show is nice and it attracts many non car people. It is like a tradition with many. I just got aggravated that for several years my car was good enough to display but one it was old enough not good enough to judge. I should get over it but I am stubborn.

We did show a 63 T Bird Sport Roadster there one year. The car was perfect but the roof would not go up when the judges were there. As soon as they left the roof worked perfect. Those switch set ups on the 60’s fords were always temperamental.

I wish the Glenmoore show was still going. It was in Canton and quickly became one of the top ten Concourses.

They had some of the greatest cars I have ever seen there. The Mormon Meteor, the Worlds Fair V16 Cadillac coupe and much more. They had hot rods, a large group of exotics, race cars, prototypes. You name it they had it there.

I was shocked they has on a putting green the Graniteli coupe, Pierson Bro coupe, The So Cal coupe and several other famous hot rods.

The last year they let us display our cars on the golf course. But the people who live at the private club hated the crowds and stopped letting them have the show on the golf course.

It was the only car show where I had leg of lamb for lunch.

I was afraid when I went to the first show as it was out of my class. But I got there I knew many people there and met many more. Even got invited for a ride in a Stryker.

Also if you have time visit the house for Christmas. The lights are amazing and the inside is as it was for the family back in the day of old time Christmas.
