Not sure what you mean. You're wanting something to go in place of the glass insert? The leak(s) would likely come from the body side weather stripping, as there's much more of that than on the glass insert. I don't know that something instead of the glass would fare any better.
Proper window adjustment will help, as will adjusting the rods on the glass insert.

If the seals are adjusted properly and are I damaged the tops do not leak.
I had an issue at first but the readjusted and no leaks since.
If you need to cover it you need to see a an upholstery cover shop and have them make you a canvas section to put over it. Best indoor storage if you can find it.

I haven't tested them to see if they are leaking. the seals look fine, but who knows. I'm just looking for a temporary use, when caught out in the rain while parked with no garage, cover for just the T-top area.. thats all. normally, its garaged.

If you are not driving just cut some trash bags and tape them to the window glass.
First run a hose on it and see if it is leaking. No direct weather just simulate rain.

Neither of my t-tops leak. One is an 87 C&C dealer install and the other is an 88 CJB design. Maybe you need to try some sort of renewal on the seal rubber.

I am building a convertible and have concerns for leaks. I will cut a custom waterproof tarp to size add the grommets and use short bungee cords to hold it in place. This will only need to be used while traveling away from home on rainy days, and needing to park the car somewhere. While the car is moving the leaks may not be serious. As for the T-Top with the right fit and a good seal they are not supposed to leak------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. I saw a car (corvette) that had a cover that covered just over the top and side windows--I believe it was "California Pop Tops" maybe we can get Russ to make something like that for our cars (he has T-tops too) ------------------ Pat Jones

Does anyone know if there are replacement seals available? I just bought an '88 GT TT (haven't received it yet) and the fuzzy gaskets look like they need replacement. ------------------ Anthony
