GT taillights on Notchback (Page 1/1)

Someone did a conversion years ago in which they converted a Notchback to have the GT taillights. Anyone know how to find that thread? Has anyone else done that mod?

It has been done a couple of times, but here is one with some good pictures:

If you're thinking of doing that mod, make sure you price a set of fastback taillights first.

Here's where it ended up:

Fierofreak00 in NY came down and took it to the big apple!

I believe this pic might be from the 30th show...but can't swear to it.

No idea if Jason still has it or not, or where it might be now, but he did a fantastic job finishing it up, and believe me....it needed A LOT of work!

Fitting GT tail lights to a notchback requires an amount of careful body mods and is an expensive proposition. If you want to buy complete GT taillights (housings + new covers) be prepared to pay $600 or more. GT lights really change the look of the notchback but it's an acquired taste. IMO, its not worth the work or the expense when you can buy a custom notchback panel that's a direct replacement. Do a search and you can find pictures of these.

Is it just me or does this mod make the notchback look more like a Beretta? I think notchback lights on a fastback look pretty cool
