One of my coolest Fiero related experiences took place a few weeks ago at my new home in Powder Springs Georgia. Pennocks well know member "Handymanpat " Moody came all the way from Round Rock Texas to meet me, Fierofrenzy on here, for a somewhat different kind of engine swap. Its quite a long story, so I just list the facts. You see, a fellow across the street from the house I was previously renting had a race prepaired Fiero engine in his garage he got from his father. Since he knew how much I was into Fieros from the two in my driveway, he one day calls me over to his house. With that he then brings me out to his garage to not only show me the engine, but to ask me if I wanted it . Free of charge too ! I immediately jumped on his offer. Knowing I'd never actually do a Fiero engine swap myself, and concerned this engine would be put to good use, the first person that came to mind was Pat Moody. Pat has provided me with excellent Fiero parts time and time again . I also got to know him quite well as we became friends from numerous phone conversations. I gave Pat a call and he was extremely interested . The agreememt was that Pat, who also happens to be an expert home improvement specialist, would sheet rock my garage in exchange from the engine . This was our swap deal. Along with this was my enjoyment of hanging out with Pat and his lovely wife Leyla. My wife and I had such a great time taking them out to dinner in the short time we had to spend together. Pats plan is to take this engine back home to Texas where he has a friend who has a stand equipted to mount and operate a car engine. We are both very eager to find out exactly what this engine has to offer.

Wow! I wish I would have known! I would have liked to have met you all. I used to live just across 92 from Powder Springs. (1.5 miles west of 92 at Brownsville Rd.) I'm about 45 minutes away from there, now. But still on that side of town. But yeah... you're closer to me, now, than you were to me when you were in Canton, and I was in Douglasville. (Google map "Roopville".)
I'm looking forward to hearing about the Fiero racing beast. [This message has been edited by Raydar (edited 09-27-2020).]

Patrick, Thats me, Fierofrenzy, in the brown t-shirt all the way to the left. Pats wife Leyla is in the center obviously, and thats the amazing, legend in his own time, owner and founder of Fieroland, the none other than "Handymanpat" . If you want to hold awesome conversations from anything from masking tape to quantum physics, Pat's the guy, and he's darn good at it. I am really looking forward to meeting up with the Moody's again. Rumor has it they will be coming out for one of the future "Run for the Hills" events the Georgia Fiero club holds.
