Hi, I know this has been covered in many posts but I am looking for part numbers for a muffler that will fit for the 2.8L with minimal fabrication. I have been though the numberous posts on this topic but I some of the part numbers are no longer available or made so just trying to get some ideas on what will work. I know the Fiero store has the cat back system which I would love to get but too much money by the time I pay for shipping and exhange rate as I live in Canada. Also if anyone has pics on a customer exhaust setup for the 2.8 that would be great as well.
Thanks.

Check via e-bay...Jones Exhaust FB2583..... Which has an aggressive tone or Jones Exhaust V4143T which should be a little quieter. The inlet / outlet sizing may require adjustment or adapters to marry up to the original exhaust pipe.....pay a couple of bucks and have a muffler shop install it for you. Suggest you measure the muffler on your vehicle and double check the original against the specs on the two numbers referenced above.

If you have an 85 SE or 88 Formula, it would simplify the fabrication work to convert to a single-exit exhaust; the 4-cylinder cars having these body styles looked fine with single-exit exhausts.
The pipe can exit either the left or right cutout, depending on what works better fabrication-wise.[This message has been edited by pmbrunelle (edited 08-23-2020).]

Thanks, I will check those out. That is one of the challenges I am having as the stock muffler was not on it, it just has a cherry bomb glasspack in place of where the cat was and I hate the sound / drone. I have not found a post or somehwere that shows the stock muffler dimensions.

Spintech can supply a muffler with the identical dimensions of the OEM unit but some exhaust welding work would need to be done to connect the head and exhaust pipes to it. . ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite.
