I thought this was a different subject- that is a cool looking lock!
For years I have had a special way to keep my Fiero safe- I memorized the location of the Fuel pump fuse, and then if I was parking in a bad area would just pull it and put it in my pocket......when I came back just reach under the dash and re-insert it. Someone who KNEW this and KNEW the fuse block location and layout could easily subvert this- but how many THIEVES would have that kind of info?

Not much of anything ever surfaces on UK eBay for Fiero so I treated myself!
Like the fuse idea, I have a similar thing. A doohckey that once removed sends power to a fuse that will blow under start conditions but will stay intact for other electricals. It too could easily be found by someone who knew how...luckily no one here knows about Fieros and would struggle to find the enjun let alone the doohickey!
Just need to find a job for this new robust item. It also has functioning pull back and zip across the floor wheels....and IS rear wheel drive!

Sad truth is Fiero and many others even now were and are made w/ Poor to Very Poor Security even after NHTSA got tougher several times on same problem. So that "lock" above can be = to Better then Fiero and a lot more Door Locks alone.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. I had a 1973 mach 1 Mustang that I swapped in an FI 5.0 engine and 4 spd auto trans...With the electric fuel pump I decided to come up with a anti-theft set-up; I made a timer that was triggered every time you started the car or, after having put the car in drive, you opened the driver's door.....30 seconds and the fuel pump would shut down. The reset button was hidden as a "Slot screw" to hold the dash facia on...At the time I was working cleanup at NAS Alameda as it was shut down. One of my co-workers also did security system installation and stated he could find my secret switch....Spent an hour looking for it and even noticed that THAT screw was a Slot while the rest were phillips....You had to have flexible skin to go in far enough to trigger the button- he had calluses so couldn't trigger it.
I actually learned a lot about suspension on that car- set it so well that my friend who raced a BMW 3 series actually stated that it handled and RODE as good as his Street BMW (Which was set up but not RACE)
Also made an air dam and then BLOCKED off the grill so it was a bottom breather- before I was driving at 65 in a head/crosswind and it felt like it was on tip-toes (Scary)....After, I passed 3 semis at 95 mph up by Mt. Shasta and it was rock solid.
