Hey all,
Does anyone know what the name of this type of terminal connector with a hard plastic shroud is called? I'm replacing the aftermarket radio and I'd prefer to just add terminals to the new harness and not re-crimp the vehicle wires.
Let me know.
Thanks, D

Those are insulated spade terminals. Those are not stock.

Thanks for the push in the right direction. I think these are the right ones.

But AAA wants $5 PER connector which is insane....

Someone removed the stock stereo connectors. The good news is you can get these at most parts stores, for like $10/package of 20

I think they are 3M "Fully Insulated Female/Male Disconnects" While size of terminal is same as most other "spades," the insulation shape is not and have some issues using "cheap" ones.
3M cat, page ~ 46 https://multimedia.3m.com/m...-product-catalog.pdf
Example: https://www.amazon.com/3M-I...minals/dp/B003IB5SBO Can get them at many places including some local stores.
Slightly odd color in above pics is maybe is heat shrink parts to seal/support the wire side. You don't really need this for inside of car w/ parts that won't move.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.
