The 25th Annual Run For The Hills is planned to take place on September 25 thru 27th, 2020. By requests, we have moved the event from the traditional 3rd weekend to the 4th weekend of September.
The event may be rescheduled to a later date if conditions warrant but in the meantime, all usual planning for restaurants and hotels is moving forward.
The event will begin in Dawsonville, Ga. We will travel through such well-known roads as Hwy 60, Suches road, Cherohala Skyway, NC Hwy 28, Fontana Road, Tail of The Dragon, and the Foothills Parkway and Little River Gorge Road to arrive in Gatlinburg, Tn for some rest and good food before returning home. Some may want to visit nearby Pigeon Forge and Dollywood if your schedule will permit. The Cherokee Reservation and Casino is also a short drive south of Gatlinburg. If you feel that you cannot make the September event and still would like to get a little taste of what it's going to be, you're welcome to join us on June 20 as we do a trial run. We will depart the McDonalds in Dawsonville at 9AM.

Man I have wanted to do this for years! Sadly it won't happen again this year since my Fiero has no motor at the moment and the border is still closed. Next year! [This message has been edited by Dave E Bouy (edited 08-18-2020).]

What time are you leaving the hotel on Saturday morning to start the drive and see you have the route? Might have to join in don't know if we would make it all the way to GA Friday night but can get very close.

Are there multiple groups going from different states? My son and I are trying to attend and would be coming from Corbin, Kentucky (right off I-75). I don't mind to meet up around the Dragon area but would love it anyone is coming through from the north to cruise with them.

NTJoe, hopefully you will be joining us from the beginning. The Dragon will be in the final 3/4 of the event.
If you get no one to meet up with, come on down I-75 to Sweetwater TN and take Hwy 68 South into Copperhill, TN. Downtown at the state line, continue through and it becomes Georgia 60. You can follow that all the way through Dahlonega, Ga. and you're just 14 miles from the Dawsonville Hotel.
Hwy 68 and 60 are in our itinerary, so you'll get a little preview.[This message has been edited by fierofool (edited 08-20-2020).]
