I've seen some referenced (I believe Comp Cams was the brand?) For use with the Crane 272 cam but can't seem to locate them. Anyone have a part number?

Normally pushrod selection should be among the last steps of your rebuild.
Depending on the camshaft, lifter, rocker arm, valve, head gasket, decking, etc, you could need a longer or shorter pushrod.
It is ideal to build your engine, then find what length you need with a pushrod length checker, and then order the full set of pushrods from there.

This is true, I just assumed because others had it work with the same combination I'm using it would work on my motor, which I'm sure has gotten people into trouble before. I'll have to see what the return policy is just in case, as I ordered them this morning

Are these heavy duty push rods thicker? If so, does that then require different push rod guides to be used?

They're 5/16" like stock. Yes, if you wanted thicker pushrods, you would need your local machine shop to widen the guide slots.
As far as "heavy duty" goes, these seem to be Comp Cams' entry-level offering.
I remember when my dad was proud to show me the Premium Bosch oil filter he bought for my oil change.
Then, we found out that the Premium filter was the bottom-rung choice; there were two higher grades available from Bosch.

The OD may be the same, but can have a thicker wall or harder steel to make them stronger than OEM.[This message has been edited by fierosound (edited 05-12-2020).]

I just wonder how many pushrods have broken as to require "heavy duty" pushrods? Unless they are made of Titanium that adding more weight to the valve train is not a great idea. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite.
