Radio question (Page 1/1)

I wanted to know if the 93-95 Firebird radio will fit in an 86 Fiero? If so, is it direct plug in?

If you're talking about a radio like this:

You'll need this:

Im starting to think they might have mislabeled it. It looks like this.

Also, I have one of those you posted, (got it from Fiero Tom), but it won't pick up radio signals. I get maybe one station and the rest is fuzzy.

Is your antenna visible or hidden in the front fender?

Car antenna is still on. It's the only radio (i got 3 others but neither tape deck works) that doesn't seem to get reception.

Sounds like the problem is the antenna or its cable.

The one you list for the Firebird should be a direct fit. Fiero had an identical one except the display color was red/orange. The same radio was used in the AstroVan.

On your radio you got from Tom, check the antenna cable to be sure it's connected to the adapter and that the adapter is securely inserted into the radio. I've had some that were a little loose. It does require the antenna adapter cable because of the different size of our cable and the one that plugs into the radio. It's just a reducer cable.

Actually that is the exact radio that came in my 84, and yes the display was green.

So, it's been a bit but I recently purchased a new antenna, and i'm still only getting the one station. Is there a specific wire or group of wires I need to take a look into for this issue?
