LS 4 oil pan that works on the 4t80 trans built by moroso designed by ls4 king, what do you guys think?

This pan lets us use the 4t80 trans

I am sure it will work... that is how the LS4 prototypes were setup.

With needing a new pan and an aftermarket starter itis probably a $400 to $500 solution

I haven't looked at the 4T80 close enough to see if the stock LS4 starter would fit in the stock LS4 location.

Sourcing a cheap starter should've also been the goal.

I'm thinking the 4t80 trans is a good alternative for the LS4 swap. The price to build a 4t65 to hold the LS4 would cost alot more than this pan starter combo .

Right, but it isn't a one or the other thing. Just build it for a cheap starter since you're building it anyway. And as someone else commented regarding the drain plug location...wth?

LS4 powertrains came from the factory attached to a 4T65eHD transmission. That is how GM designed it .

I don't think the 4t65e trans is a strong enough for the ls4 , This pan will let us use the 4t80, what do you think of the added weight is going to do to the car?
