I decided to post my take on the custom body vs performance upgrade Fiero argument;
A guy built a Diablo replica, spending $60,000- used Lambo headlights, steering wheel, seats and emblems...and had a supercharged Northstar engine so it was very fast. But if you blew off a 911 with it, the 911 driver would say "Of course a $200,000 Lambo is going to beat my 911!" The same mods could be done to a Regular Fiero- same performance- After getting blown off by a FIERO, that 911 driver would need a PICKUP to carry the Viagra he'd need to make "IT" work ever again!
(For some reason, 911 drivers don't like me.....)

It is a steal for 4800.00. It does not look like any other kit I have seen but has elements of a finale, Ford GT40 some Pisa cars and a bit of Porsche but I don't know why he would choose to use the Porsche headlights that everyone hates. The interiour is definitely a Pisa dash mixed in with who knows what. To me this qualifies more as a homebuilt than a replica. Unless the pictures are from when the car was first built and it is a scam listing but you never know till someone looks at it.They say in the article to go get a used Boxter for a few thousand more but to get a good one you would need to spend 15K. ------------------ 86 GT built 2.2 ecotec turbo rear SLA suspension QA1 coilovers on tube arms
