Forum unreachable (Page 1/1)
Cliff Pennock DEC 15, 03:23 PM
In the past few months, the forum has been unreachable from several minutes to several hours at end for a few times now. Every single time this was due to a DDoS attack aimed at my server. The attacks seem to come from a Chinese bot-net but that doesn't mean it's actually originated in China. It could be from anywhere in the world. Why they are so keen in bringing my server down, is beyond me.

Sometimes it takes me hours to stop the attack. Sometimes, as with the attack a few minutes ago, I can stop it in a few minutes. I'm taking all necessary steps to try and stop these attacks from happening again.

Thank you for letting us know Cliff.
It's unfortunate bots such as that are running wild...

I've noticed that a few times, and I confirmed with:

Damn MR2 owners!

You might be able to use the cloudflare free version to stop ddos attacks.

Maybe it's the rapid influx of C8 owners trying to figure out how to care for a mid-engined car... ;-)

Heh heh, that's the first thing I thought of (although of course, that's not who's actually behind this).
