Pretty good article......Nice to see someone saying the truth- The '84s definitely left a lot to be desired, but every year after improved...

In the SF bay area, 90% of car enthusiasts "Know" that all Fieros are "Three-legged dogs with mange- until they all catch fire".....

If you think the 84 Fiero was the worst car of the 80's, you don't remember what was available in the 80's

Yugo
Dodge Omni/Plymouth Horizon
Cadillac Cimarron
K Cars
Chevy Chevette
Chevy Citation and derivatives
Renault LeCar
Chrysler TC
Triumph TR8
All the FWD GM cars that replaced RWD cars

etc. , not to mention all the forgettable 4-door crap boxes

Best car? Lots of better cars

Ferrari F40
Porsche 959
DeLorean DMC-12
Buick GNX
Lamborghini Countach
Turbo Trans Am
Lotus Esprit (Peter Stevens re-design)
Audi Quattro

The article on Jalopnik was decent, but the comments are the same standard shitshow from ignorant car "experts".

And it came out right after I posted one on Oppositelock (Oppo) about some of the misinformation about the Fiero I see every time there is an article about it.

The much smaller group on Oppo tends to be a LOT more reasonable than the posters on Jalopnik.
