Just amazing driving by the Johnson brothers in the finale!

My wheel bearing gets the best of me again in turn 3-4. My race starts at ~11:15 mark.

For sure... that was great!

Had to chuckle at... "Hello darkness my old friend, I've come to talk with you again."

Yeah - Al's had a bad season.

So have I. My rebuilt wheel bearing didn't even last thru me spinning the tires pulling onto the track to line up for my race. Hence my turn 3/4 spinout and poor launch.

That's why I'm looking to upgrade to the larger FWD bearing design...

I guess I have never owned a heavily modified or high hp Fiero, but I would like some more info on why the wheel bearing failure. I just don't seem to hear/read about this often. Tire two wide causing it to be overhang from the center to far?? Does it just lock up the wheel?

I think it's more of a factor of the weight of my wheels and the extreme G's I'm hitting. When one goes, you can see me launch only as good as a RWD because my wheel will wobble and you'll see it reflected in my front end how it looks like it's bouncing up and down because the rear wheel makes contact then loses some contact back and forth. My wheels are 315/35-R17's....and weigh 52 lbs each with the tires.

On a good launch, my front end will rise then come down only once until I shift into second gear.

If you watch this event, my first 2 launches were great!
Next two I had some bounce because my bearing was going bad.
By the 5th launch, the extra vibration lead to a snapped CV...
