So I live near Madison wi and have options for my 86SE as well as my Knight Rider replica for winter storage. Obviously cost is a factor but I'm not opposed to spending the money if it's really well worth it. What are your thoughts? Climate controlled storage doesnt get closed then 50 and no hotter then 80. I've been reunited with my 86SE for the first time in 15 years and during her hiatus shes been outside and seems to have weathered quite well. Opinions are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

stored in winter or summer w/ or w/o Climate controlled building can kill the battery. Faster in Winter w/ Low Temp because a little low battery can freeze easy and freezing will wreck them. Remember just the ECM and OE radio alone in Fiero draws a battery down over time. Add more things that need standby power makes this worse and battery go low or dead faster. Wet or AGM Lead Battery is functionally dead bellow 11 to 10V and can freeze close to same temp as plain water. See my Cave, Battery
Rest of car may care or not how/where you store. Brake fluid and rubber parts can "wear out" even in storage for various reasons but faster in some settings. Tire hate being parked on dirt/grass for weeks because chemicals in that often attack rubber. Tire may look ok but thin points between thread high points and sidewalls close to ground can be very bad and worse let water etc to attack the belts.

Climate controlled is always better. But either way put a battery maintainer on them. If there isn't a power source disconnect the batteries. If not going climate controlled remove the batteries and take home to a warm place.
