Decent article- But the "Citation front suspension >>Turned around<<" myth is alive and well....the suspension was moved to the back (Obviously) but it was NOT turned around....the only major change was that the Steering rack was eliminated and fixed tie rods incorporated.

This is the first Fiero article I've seen in years that didn't have that one picture of an Indy pace car replica.

Better than normal story but still falls short.
We still need a difinitive book on the Fiero to set the story corrct. For too long we have had the errors in the media and even the miss leading info given out buy Pontiac PR that is not always true or honest.
Not only would the real story set the record straight but it would also show how and why GM failed to work together well leading to chapter 11 and how Pontiac was never really fully understood by the GM board as the began to kill the brand.
I have learned things about this car many would not like to believe or have heard but they were things that did not fit the public narrative.
Even books like the Witzenberg book we’re mostly GM propaganda all approved by Pontiac. They never got to the things Pontiac did not want people to know.
Case in point. While the 88 suspension was GM designed not Lotus it was Porsche Engineering that did the tuning of it for turn in and on line feel. This came from Tom Goad in an interview later on. There is much more even the Fiero owners can learn.
Also Hagerty had a story on one of Freds cars the other day. It claimed 20% of Fieros caught fire? Not even close. If that were the case we’ll do the math. Every corner would have had a burning Fiero.
The media is to blame but so is Pontiac and GM as they were not alway honest with things either or corrected the things that were wrongly stated by the media.
