Hi everyone, I'm a fellow long-time Fiero fan who has finally obtained one of his very own (and it's a gem, too)! I've lurked through these forums in the past, but I figured that now is the time to join the community properly. It's great to know that there's such a strong support network here to help us all enjoy and maintain the coolest cars ever.
About me: I'm in my 30s and I live in the Portland, OR area. I enjoy music, reading, fine Islay whisky, and of course my new car!
About my Fiero: I am the proud new owner of a fantastic '85 GT. I got it from a local dealership that had it for 27 months (!?); the previous owner had it for 31 years. After owning the car for about 10-15 years, he started dumping a huge amount of money and work into it-- he swapped the original engine for a 3.4 L V6 from a '95 Camaro and upgraded just about everything that matters. He invested tens of thousands and (best part) saved everything even tangentially related to this car in a big plastic bin with boxes of file folders. I still haven't gone through it all! The car is clean as a whistle and loves to zoom!
Here are some of the photos taken by the dealership when they bought the car:

I would like to find a Fiero-knowledgeable mechanic in the Portland area to help me maintain the car properly (any recommendations?), and of course would love to connect with any forum members in this area as well!
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to benefiting from all the great Fiero expertise around here!

Very nice find! Looks super clean. People will tell you to check the trunk and frame rails for rust but sounds like it was taken care of and probably garage kept. Care to share how many miles on the chasis?

It's very clean indeed! I've cleaned and treated the leather since I bought it, too. The odometer shows around 113k, but I'm not yet sure how much of that mileage happened after all the restoration/upgrade work was done.

I noticed the '67 Impala as well. My first car back in 1974 was a '67 Chevy Caprice 2-dr HT with a 396. My buddy had a '67 Impala SS that he dropped an LS7 454 into. What a beast that car was!
Oh... and welcome to our newest PFF member!

They are 16" wheels by TSW. I don't know the offset, or fully understand what that means...
