Good morning everyone! (Except where it's not)
I figured I'd post an introduction as I have been lurking for a while here and I want to contribute.
About a year ago, I purchased my 1988, 4-cylinder, 3 speed automatic Fiero from a gentleman in Jackson, MI. He had taken expertly good care of the car, it was his fathers, and now that his father passed away and he was getting older, it was time to part with the car. I purchased it with the intent to fix it up (not too much wrong with it thanks to his diligence), learn how to work on this relatively unique car, and eventually swap out the Iron Duke with 264,000 miles on it (never rebuilt!)
About a month or two ago, I purchased a beat up 85 GT to swap the V6 and 4-speed trans into mine. I know, I could attempt a 3800SC or something more powerful (turbo....ooooh!), but for my first MAJOR mechanical challenge, I figured I'd start with something that was designed specifically for the car (Learning experience). After months, with help from my roommate (who also owns an 84' SE red Fiero), we finally have the garage ready for the surgery!
Like I previously stated, I have been lurking, posted a little bit, namely for installing the Monsoon radio, ordered some interior pieces from TXGOOD, and small things, but, well, here I am, and here she is!
First photo is me the day I drove it back, on damn near 15 year old tires home:

Second photo is the day those tires were thrown to the curb, finally I don't feel like I'm running on borrowed time anymore!

We have the 85 GT that is essentially a donor car, purchased in from a fellow in Royal Oak recently. Let's just say, driving it home was the first time I've ever seen a car shoot flames out the exhaust.. (due to bad gas/low gas).

And finally, the garage, nearly ready for the operation!

That red GT was for sale on Craigslist forever! At least you are able to put it to good use.

To be honest, I can see why! But yes, tires, sunroof, seat covers, headrest speakers, transmission and engine are all salvageable (engine with a little bit of work, engine is ticking).
Still, was able to drive it 45 minutes home!

At least it handled that drive haha.
You're pretty local to me. I'm in Milford. If you ever need parts let me know, I have a small collection.

Oh fantastic! Appreciate that! I'll probably message you when we really start this swap later in June! Hope to see you at some of the local car shows/Cars & Coffee! (Going to the one by Duck Lake in Highland).
