Hello all,
My history with the Fiero started the day I was born. My dad bought me a Radio Control Fiero that day. Since I was a kid I knew eventually I would get a real one, and I imagined that like the people that grew up with Mustangs and Corvettes and at 50 get it, I would be at 50 driving my Fiero. I am from Mexico, and I never saw one in my city. But my memories of the Fiero never disappeared , as was always mentioned by me or my parents. They still have that toy in Mexico.
I grew up pushing Datsun pick-ups downhill to make it start in second gear for issues with the starter, pushing Ford Pinto because the reverse didn't work, throwing cold water to the radiator because it was too hot but we needed to continue driving the car, jump starting Volkswagen Atlantic every morning because the battery was old but we couldn't afford a new one, Dodge Caravan with the AC broken and the window elevators broken at 35 celsius, cleaning spark plugs to keep using the same because is a luxury to buy new ones, recycling engine oil, refilling batteries, "polishing" rotors three or four times, using black tape to fix hoses and belts... more than a hobby, for me (and many in Mexico) is a necessity to know about the cars to keep them running without much expenses.
I moved to Vancouver, Canada and I always searched Fieros for sale, but I never saw one in real life. I finally saw one 2m6 SE three months ago. I was impressed because the car is almost brand new, is in incredible condition... only the front bumper with some damage. I was tempted to buy it but a few things stopped me: it was manual, and didn't have sunroof, and is SE.
I wanted specifically a 1985 (the year I was born) RED (any sports car must be red!) Fiero GT (my dad always call it the "GT") with sunroof (personal choice) and automatic (I had been lazy to learn stick).
And I finally found it. The car checked all the boxes.
I have some work to do: looks like something with the exhaust system because some of the smoke goes into the engine bay instead of going out trough the exhaust... but the car is in running condition, the engine sounds really good, all electrical working, clean upholstery, and the transmission feels without issues.
I love Forums, they are a really good of practical knowledge that books and manuals don't have.
Nice to meet you!

Welcome! There is a lot of great info and knowledge to be shared on this forum.
Hopefully the car is in good shape underneath as well and will last you many years!

Thanks! 7 years living in this beautiful country.
I found it in Langley.
There is one in Craigslist for sale that looks very similar, but brown interiors.

That's an awesome looking car! Keep us posted with updates.
Now you need to keep a look out for a model Fiero... They made diecast 1985 Fiero models that only come in red or silver. That would be awesome to have a model of your car. I have a couple red models but no Fiero to match! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ro...1%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D2 20983754355%26itm%3D333200809980&_trksid=p2481888.c100970.m5481&_trkparms=pageci%3A353e7650-7f5e-11e9-8083-74dbd1806310%7Cparentrq%3Af1f97d7816a0a887dd2e5db8ffedf47c%7Ciid%3A1

Welcome aboard ELMANO !!!!! Its so good to hear that your dream car is now a reality to you. There is a Mexican fellow who just got hired where I work, and we quickly became very close friends. That's a nice Fiero you have gotton your hands on there, best of luck with it. I would say one of the best tools you have is this forum here. I depend on it all the time as a helpful aid for my Fiero needs.

Congratulations! What a great story and the car is beautiful.
I recommend checking out the West Coast Fiero club as they're a good club and resource.
