Took my '88 GT out for one of its rare trips out of the garage. Started smelling coolant and got some smoke/steam coming from the drivers side rear vent.
Nice. Pull over and check it out. Looks like one of the shifter cables had been rubbing on the TB coolant line, and rubbed right through it.

Well, at least it isn't the end of the world. I'll cut them off for now and tie the lines together, but I like to keep my garage queen '88 stock, so I need to source some new TB coolant lines.
I can't imagine anyone makes these things anymore, so I guess I need to find some at a junkyard. Finding a rust free one is going to be tough...

I suspect that shifter cable has been routed incorrectly.

There should be a bracket attached to the head that supports the cable and keeps it out of the way. Not sure of yours is missing....hard to tell by the pic.
Anyway, I probably have a set of TB coolant lines. LMK if you can't find anything locally and I'll see what I have.
