Ok, so I am not much of a welder. My welds are something I would rather hide than show people, but I bought this tiny little welder on EBay and I now can do pretty welds. They even seem to penetrate and are strong too. Anyone else have one of these $89.99 welders? If so, what do you think about it?

That is a tiny welder! Ha. Almost looks like a larger soldering iron.

I'm a rank amateur welder at best. When I had my Chicago Electiric unit, I found my welding vastly improved when I purchased good welding wire. It jumped again with my auto dimming helmet, then again with the gas mig. Now I have a Millermatic 211. Love it.

Hey whatever it takes to get you started and get you over the current hurdle. Youll get a better machine and better skills after awhile. Looks good for a 120 welder, I made all kindsa stuff w my hf welder before I stepped up.

If you are happy with it and it does what you need it to, then that is all that matters.
I learned on a 110V Craftsman wire welder with flux core... but eventually upgraded to a 220v Lincoln Promig 175 with the gas kit about 12 or 13 years ago and it is definitely in the top 10 tools/shop equipment that I own.
If I had that little welder, I probably couldn't stop myself from having a little fun with it by adding and "S" to the name.

LOL! I think I'm gonna buy it just so that I can add an 'S' to the front of the name!!!
On second thought, no. I'm not.

I learned on a Lincoln stick welder in high school. You had to sign up for advanced class to use the wire feed heliarc welder. Probably just dated myself. I've considered buying one of those little welders myself for small projects. Hope you like it.
