Sweet!! Thanks for posting. I wonder what kind of 5 speed that car is running. My 4 speed runs out of gear before it runs out of muscle. This thing might have a special 'low' 5th gear to be able to hit speed like that.

Definitely worth sharing....thanks ! Pretty cool getting 158 out of a 4 banger. Those overhead air ducts gotta go though. Comfy interior, huh ?

What are the side vents? I've seen some that are similar, the vents on this car are different.[This message has been edited by olejoedad (edited 03-02-2019).]

The pictures show that it's an Isuzu transmission, judging by the cables. Maybe cryo-treated gears?[This message has been edited by fierofool (edited 03-02-2019).]

I dont know for sure but I would think the transmission would not take much of a beating during a top speed run. No need to dump the clutch or snap shifts off as fast as you can or even rev it out in the lower gears. Just get in to fifth and let it roll. It would be interesting to know what rpm he was turning when he hit top speed.
