I was talking with a person who said his girlfriend owned a Fiero back in the 80's, and she had headrest speakers, something happened they caught fire and caught HER on fire too, she suffered head and face burns--GM picked up the hospital, reconstruction and 120K settlement---anybody ever hear of that?

The only way for that to happen is to apply 12 volts directly to the speakers and then you MIGHT get a little spark to where you could ignite the foam. Most speakers that size would just fizzle and burn out.

That is nonsense.

People say a lot of things about the Fiero. Usually friend of a friend stuff.

A friend of a friends brothers cousins ex wife's stepsister said that she knew for a fact that someone had an ax in the trunk of their FIERO and when they stopped to fast the trunk flew open and the ax popped out and cartwheeled into the open tee-tops embedding itself into the head of the driver killing him instantly causing the now stopped FIERO to be rear ended by a bus load of nuns that caused the headrest speakers to short out due to the conductivity of the blood from the ax in the head and the bus and FIERO burst into flames and burnt to the ground killing all the nuns.
