Does anyone still build or care about 308 body kits? (Page 8/11)

Ok, here are the pictures of how these panels are SUPPOSED to be on the car.

Didn't clamp the rockers in place, but you can see how they will work together with the quarter panels to create the Koenig "look":

Keep in mind, none of the 308 panels are attached to the frame in these pics, they are all just kind of "hanging" there, so nothing lines up like it should/will when finished, but it gives a general idea.

Checked briefly today, and found a mold that makes a chin spoiler that looks suspiciously like the front end of the Koenig car, but can't say for certain without actually laying one up and that's not in the cards at the moment. Maybe if I can free up some time, but don't see that happening anytime soon either.

So that's where this is at. Anybody interested in any of these parts can contact Doug at Fierowarehouse.

These parts would make a most unusual body, and needless to say, will take quite a bit of work to pull off!

One 'O' these days.................................

what would be a rough price on the wide quarters and side skirts?

kill the side scoops, the whale tail, the cheesy turbo graphics, the wheels, and the tailpipes and you have got a winner.

You should probably contact Doug at Fierowarehouse http://www.ovis.net/~dmkfiero/
but, I sent him an email the other day and I'm still waiting on a reply. He may be busy so I'm being patient...

Sage,

Could you post a top and bottom shot of the rocker?

I'm curious how it mounts... Does it have to be bonded to the stock rocker?

I just realized over the weekend that my panels fit very nicely with the stock Notchie rocker. Still looking for something "different", though and I've been in contact with Doug.

Sure Bob. I'll try to get them today.

It looks to me like it would have to be bonded on, as I don't remember seeing any official "attachment" points, other than probably being able to rivet or screw up through from the bottom underneath.

Here ya go Bob:

And here's another bonus we found in the stuff:

That's the roof wing, in case you don't recognize it off the car.

I had to finish it and put the studs in, but it fits well and is foam filled...light weight but solid.

Let me know if you need any other views, angles etc.

I would point out what I said above, these rockers would take some work to install on the stock body. For instance, the bottom rear of the door skins are not round like the opening in the rocker, and the angle of the section at the bottom of the rocker in front of where the tire will be, is only going to line up with the wide quarter panels as is. All of it is fiberglass though, so you know that means it can be readily altered, just have to think it out and put the time in.

Anyway, there ya are.

What are the inner-most and outer-most widths of the roof spoiler?
Sage MAY 28, 10:27 PM
It fits on the roof section of the car that I posted in this thread perfectly for reference.

The measurements I get (not "precise" mind you, but pretty darn close ) are:

Looking at the bottom of the "feet" back edge inside to inside (these measurements are based on the "feet" being rectangular rather than oval like they actually are..) is 42-1/2" front edge is 45-1/2"

On the other end of the "foot" or the back edge outside to outside is 44-1/2" front edge is 47-1/2"

If you draw a center line down through the "feet" in the middle between front edge and back edge, and measure between them side to side, I measure right at 45".

The "feet" are right at 1-1/8" wide themselves, in the middle at the widest point, and they are 9-1/4" long.

Let me know if that's not what you wanted, or it's unclear from my description.

Are you checking to see if it fits on a stock/fastback roofline?

...I've always liked that look - wouldn't mind getting one myself!

Thanx Sage. Perfect views.

I hate to say it, but I declined a very generous offer by Doug for the pieces. So, if someone is interested, please contact Doug. I'm pretty sure he will make you the same offer.

With the wheelbase fixed (lots of axle work) and the wheels purchased, I just couldn't use the fenders and they need to be sold as a set with the rockers to properly show them off.

I'll probably kick myself later...
