Thanks. Who owns it?
I never have gotten pip to work--I use Photobucket. Very convenient for posting HTML image links.
OBTW, it was 80 here yesterday--bright sun, slight breeze. EYHO!

Aloha everyone!
I love the beechwood interior of my Mera...but it's just a WIDE EXPANSE of brown everywhere.

So, I decided to purchase a set of grey arm rests, and I used this paint to re-paint them black.

I prepped the arm rests by washing them well with Dawn and letting them air dry for one entire day. The paint goes on very easily, and after a couple days drying, it does flex without cracking. Time will tell on how well it holds up. The only down side is that its way too glossy. I'll deal with that later. Anyways, I just wanted to see how it would look, and personally, I like the new contrasting colors:

Well, Tom, that stuff sure works great or you're quite a craftsman, one--I would guess the latter.
I noticed something interesting; the mask around your rear window is missing the part up the right side--so is mine. I can't believe it was originally that way, but it does allow a "peak" out that corner.[This message has been edited by reholmes (edited 03-07-2010).]

Tom's sister car.Mera #8045. wonder if its still there?
(orginally posted by Chad87FB, on 9-10-2007) So I'm at the shop today and a guy from a shop down the way comes by and asks me if I'd be interested in an '88 Fiero with a Ferarri body kit he picked up at auction last week. The price was reasonable so I said bring it by and I'll take a look. He gave me some b/w pictures to look at and I started reading up on what made a Mera a Mera. Sure looked like one in the pics.
The car was dropped off a few minutes ago and man is it rough. Real rough. Rust has not been kind to this thing.
1st thing I did was pop the rear hatch and sure enough... MERA Serail NO. 8045. Here's a link to more pics:

Hehehe, you really want to know what I paid for it? Here's a little story on this car:
A couple months ago a guy came up to my shop and asked if I'd be interested in a Fiero with a Ferrari kit. I asked wha shape the chassis was in and he said it was real rusty. He also said he didn't think it was a Mera. I wasn't looking for a project, especially for the $2k he was asking, so I passed.
Last week this car came up at auction and was purchased for... are you sitting down?... $300.
Come to find out, it's the same car. Nor sure why the guy thought it wasn't a Mera when the ID tag is there plain as day. Sure glad I didn't go get it for $2k[This message has been edited by batousai666 (edited 03-08-2010).]
