yep, just like Raydar posted this thread was to inform 88 Database Guy about one I found in the Junk Yard. Never thought it would turn into this, but glad that its worked out.

As I told css, i had that car, JP214619 from an ebay add which showed it has a V-8 of some sort, you guys out there in Fresno might want to check it out. If you do, please snap a shot of the SPID label and post that too. it's also listed on row52 but as usual only one photo, but you can see the nice big hood vent on it though.

Well what I had here is just a confusing mess. It was a Red 5spd gt grey interior. it had been painted... But the evidence I have shows that it was in some sort of front end collision in the early 90s that caused A pilar damage. (Deer, moose, cow) it then assumed the identity of the 87 that was glued on to fill in the gaps. The 87 was also wrecked around the same time in the 90s. The roof at mid B pillar was cut and rewelded on. This was then cut at the near front firewall and welded on. This included the Vin tag location. Most cuts and welds were along factory joints. The car only had 1 of the mini vin tags left and it was on the passenger door. I didn't want to just assume that the 88 door vin was the original vin until i found it on each rear shock.

I also have 225398 white automatic grey interior. Was in front end collision. Working to restore.

I was most likely wrong about it being in Fresno.... First listing I saw on the page was a black 86 in Fresno and that was probably what got me excited since I hadn't seen one listed there in a real long time.

1G2PG1198JP202997 is a white GT listed on Ebay, at a dealer in Pennsylvania. 5-speed, sunroof.... Front hood has an American flag airbrushed on, and the whole interior of the car has been re-done in red-and-white. Lots of red powdercoating and red wire loom under the front and rear hoods; pretty much anything that could be removed or unscrewed easily.
