More MERA progress: found and fixed a driving lamp short! It was a bad rocker switch sending pwr to ground directly, blowing the fuse. Opened the drivers side headlight motor; then pins were powder! RD parts on order. gear looked perfect though.
Waiting on parts to come in. going to do the S10 booster swap.[This message has been edited by swing69 (edited 01-07-2021).]

I want to remove the driver's door skin to fix the handle issue correctly. Its just way to difficult to open, I tried the search option, but that has gotten me no where quick.
How do you remove the outer door panel? I see the torx on the jamb side, and the pushpin on the bottom. But don't see much in the A pillar area. I'm sure I'm them somehow.

More MERA progress:
1) replaced both headlight motors and lamps....all good!
2) replaced drivers door handle....WITHOUT removing doorskin! how....with MUCH difficulty - but it CAN be done!!
gettin there!

More MERA work done; installed the s10 booster. Almost made me cry making the clearance for the 11" dia. booster. Nice and clean and painted before install. Can't tell a thing is different, other than a big booster!
Also installed 4 new Kicker DS speakers in the stock location. Still...right channels are muted somewhat. radio is getting replaced with another delco "pontiac" radio. CD? who needs CDs. I've got cassettes man!
Next: all new Fluids! BTW: still....no license plates. Still waiting for my DMV appointment. 
1/16 update: I delivered #8118 down to Fiero Jon in Tuckerton NJ. It wanted an professional / objective eye to give the car a 100% inspection, service and tires. The ones on the car are from 2001. He knows his stuff....

QUESTION: in buying a car cover for a MERA....is the 308/328 cover the best fit?

The Mera is slightly larger than a 308, especially as the Mera is roughly 4 inches taller, although the shapes are close of course.
