Took a wire brush to my trunk to see if it was surface rust or just dirt… it was dirt

Went and had a good time at autocross! Somehow got a stuck injector and hydrolocked my 3800 on gas though.... that kinda put a damper on the fun.[This message has been edited by Additivewalnut (edited 04-14-2025).]

I gotta ask.... how the hell do you tuck all the wiring to make it look like that? I've always been a function over form kinda guy but I can't deny I'm jealous of how good that looks. My 3800 engine bay is a nightmare.

Time, planning and heat shrink for the harness.
I depin the ecm connectors and break down the harness to the individual connectors, even when it is a brand new harness.
Then install 1 connector at a time and route it where I want it. I try to use other items to block view of the harness as much as possible. Heat shrink minimizes the bulkiness of the harness. Running the black harness over black engine parts helps as well.
Moving wiring intensive parts off the top of the engine helps as well. Where the coils are mounted, 32 wires to them are now hidden by the body of the coils and off the valve covers. The throttlebody is installed upside down to move the 6 wire connector to the front side where it will be hidden by the throttlebody.
Lots and lots of preplanning and work, but the end result is night/day.

Getting ready for car season and I can't wait. Finished off the tire change today with 225/45 x 17 rear and 205/45 x17 front. Old tires looked new, probably have 7500 miles on them, but after 12 years it was time to change them. American made Goodyear tires all around. Also bled the brakes, did an oil and filter change and re-torqued all the wheel bolts to 100psi.
