What Did You Do To Your Fiero...TODAY ? (Page 692/702)

Hello,

I have a radio/cassette player from my 1985 Fiero GT that has stopped working. I’m hoping to either purchase a fully functional original radio or find a repair shop that specializes in restoring these units.

If anyone has recommendations for where I might find a replacement or know of a reliable repair service, I’d greatly appreciate your input!

Thank you in advance for your help!

Technically today, I stopped at 2:30 am, dropped my cradle, removed my 4 speed transmission, next steps are to take the 2.8 out, put my 3400 in, reinstall the Fiero top end, put my f23 transmission in, and put back in the car, all of this is being done by hand with a floor jack and jack stands, no engine hoist.

Finally had some nice weather and took the opportunity to break-in the camshaft in the new engine. Do another oil and filter change and if off to the dyno to break in the rings.

torqued the rear axle nut and fired the car up and drove around for the first time since a spectacular rear ball joint failure while driving last year…

Been wanting for years to fix this annoying Fiero problem, namely the hideous gap that develops over the years between the bottom of the tail lights and the black moulding & upper rear bumper. I have seen many Fiero’s with this gap so I will assume it’s a common problem. 🙁
Anyways, here is the back of my 85 GT after
I fixed the problem. I just finished it yesterday. (see Technical Section if you want to see my thread on how it’s done)
