I've been following this one.Used to be on Craigslist/Detroit awhile ago by owner. Now at a dealer. Why no back-up lamps in license plate area. Thought this was a Mera must? Also, one of the pics showing undercarriage /suspension area looks like there is s crack in the frame/unibody. might just be an illusion. No gas prop rod for trunk, Hmmm. Otherwise, a Nice one

It appeared to me that there is a body colored plate mounted over the back-up light/license plate area but my PC monitor may be deceiving me. A plate made sense to me as the car is fitted with F*car Carello amber turn/back-up lenses rather than the stock Mera amber units..

Anyone else bothered that it's listed as a MERA?

Yes, I was bothered enough to write to the seller. But luckily I did not send it before re reading his description. He does say in the description, that per R Dickman, it is not a Mera , but based on a Mera. Still should not be listed as a Mera, but then a lot of replicas are listed as Ferrari or whatever make they are trying to represent. Almost mislead me!

Pretty sure this is the same car.

Does anyone know the Mera build number on this one?

I have checked my database which goes back to 1990 and that VIN is not there, so a new one for me.

Wow!! Looks brilliant with those wheels too. Thank you for posting your Mera's picture! If you ever take a new pic with your California mirrors on, I'd love to see it :-)[/QU

Here's a couple of pics from the 2016 Lake Garnett Grand Prix Revival last October in Lake Garnett, Kansas. They had SCCA national events here in the 60s and 70s. It was a great event, lots of fun to drive the Mera on a track, and lots of cars to see.

Three mid engine cars in a row, I was lucky enough to get a ride in one of the Panteras.

that car is simply badass
