I picked up my Mera today, the Series 3 SC motor is way better than the Series 1 SC that was in it when I bought it. Lots more power and torque and it just runs better. Didn't push it much, it's a little scary to drive fast the way the suspension is now.
Stopped at a cruise night on the way home, people were surprised that Ferrari put a supercharged motor in a 308. I had lots of fun explaining the Mera story and that I preferred it to a 308. Much lower operating expense and that I thought having 1 of 247 was better that 1 of 12,000 and that like the most desirable early 308s the Mera is fiberglass but again 1 of 247 instead of 1 of 700.
Next on the list is coilovers for the front, C4 brakes, new wheels and tires, good alignment and final tuning for the motor.
With a little luck I may get that much finished before the end of summer.
It's gonna be a fun car to drive when it's all done.

I listened to the exhaust from outside the car for the first time last night and it sounds great. I did not want a loud exhaust on this body style, definitely not a muscle car and 6 cylinders don't sound all that good anyway.
Chris found a Borla muffler, # 4074, crossflow type. It has a 3" inlet and dual 2 1/2" outlets. He used a 3" exhaust donut for a tight 90 and 180 bends to get it to fit with 2 1/2" to 2" reducers into Rodneys Mera tail pipes. It required the trunk to be cut but I still have the lower, just lost about 1/2 the width between the engine and bumper.
It is quiet at idle with a good smooth power sound when reved, no 6 cylinder rasp. It has an occasional pop on over run that is not loud at all. The muffler and 3" donut were a bit expensive but the sound it makes is well worth it and goes with the look of the Mera.

Just BROWSE thru your images and after you Open the pic you want, select the UPLOAD NOW button. After the pic has been Uploaded, just COPY the IMG Code for Forums and Message Boards and then Paste it into your message here on PFF.
Also, I don't know about the reason for your suspension issues, but I see that a member has some Suspension Techniques Performance Lowering Springs for sale in The Mall at the great price of only $200......I've had those same type springs on my 308 rebody for 20 years now and know first hand that they work wonderfully....They're an excellent addition to a weak in the knees Fiero, but I hope you get them because I'm fairly certain they could greatly help your car, both in handling performance and looks.
