Is anyone actually collecting all of this data? Is there a database or website somewhere? It seems like this whole thread is just one post after another of '88 VINs that pop up on ebay or in a junkyard, yet it doesn't seem like anyone is actually doing anything with this data?

If you go back and read the first portion of this thread, there is actually a guy....88 database guy......who had collected over 5000 VINs and was also using this information for his database. He promised to make it public many years ago, but apparently lost interest. If in fact his information is lost, this thread is the only source for anyone else who would/could make a database that we all could see, so many people have continued to add individual cars with the hope that someday someone will use the information and we will all benefit.

Yup, I had wondered where 88 database guy actually went, but then I gave up on thinking he'd actually chime in, so I figured we might as well use this as our new database. I can update the long lost 86 registry thread or do other years if wanted.
