Well, according to the brochure you posted, you could get leather without getting plush carpets.
Regarding the deck-lid bar, are the lid hinges attached to the bar?

I moved the battery to the front and modified my air intake and then installed dual Rodney struts and reinforcing bars. No problems since then. WRT the carpet, none of mine have anything othet than the standard Fiero carpet with matching door panels.

Another subject: It appears Rodney's strut/brace kit obstructs air filter and battery removal. What is the process for removal/replacement--any special care that needs to be taken? |

That's a popular option, and done often with an engine swap. I haven't found it a problem with my stock 87 GT, but after uninstalling the strut/brace a couple times on the road, I will probably consider it.
Wish I had "stock" carpet. While my Mera interior is really in nice shape, the carpet looks dated. Going to try a "brush up" to see if I can get it looking better.[This message has been edited by reholmes (edited 11-23-2009).]

The VIN on the MERA rear deck lid at least matches what is reported as the vehicle VIN. However, this is a highly modified vehicle (if it is a MERA). I cannot see anyone removing the old power mirrors and controller to substitute a standard Fiero mirror. Rodney, is this vehicle on your MERA database?,

if it is a mera someone took the vitaloni mirrors, the mirror toggle switch, the sail panels are held on by drywall screws, the front light covers are wrong and the hood vent is incorrect. but all that said it looks like a nice car.

went to look. nope, two different cars. The yellow one was first mentioned in early NOV. and is for resale. the emblems i refered to were from a red one. Which brings up a point. there sure are lot of MERAS for sale all the sudden? can i get a witness? since i got mine i have seen at least 5 different cars change hands. or attempted to but "reserve not met." there were 2 on Autotrader.com a Yellow and a Red. the yellow one on the trader must be the one i was thinking of. its gone. presumably not sold. was there all summer. anyway....what's up with dat? sign of the times...must be. later Dan PS in my email the seller of the yellow one he said that it looked like the pictures he has seen so i think he assumed its a Mera.....me thinks. not with screw on louvers and no controller. plus his rear deck lid looks wierd??? i have been breathing exhaust fumes all day so any wrong statements will be denied. yours in denile- Da-nile ooooooo a play on words.
