Isn't that vent on the front from an inboard boat to vent gas fumes before cranking it over so it doesn't splode?

Those are special edition hi-speed Cadillac Cimarron wheels. Those have got to be worth something? Right?.....Maybe not.

If the roof thing is connected to the cabin... Then what's under the tubes?
Because exhaust parts leaking can very easy poison the driver.

The "roof scoop" is actually the car's heater. You notice it has no opening to scoop air into the engine bay, but it does line up perfectly with the round thing in the roof in the interior shot. I think that is a vent. There is a blower motor in there somewhere that pushes the heat from the engine forward into the passenger compartment. You can control the speed of the blower, but the only way to control the temperature is to run the engine hotter or cooler with gear selecting and then further balance it out by rolling the windows down when you're getting cooked.

No, no, no... you've got it all backwards. The airflow goes the other way. It's a car custom-designed for smokers (of any substance). Their obnoxious fumes get drawn into the underside roof vent, transported through those flex hoses to the engine's intake, and thusly burned. It's a brilliant system I tell ya... brilliant!

You're right! After looking at it a second time this makes perfect sense. Any time you get randomly stopped in states where potentially less than legal substances are being utilized in the car the officer will never know because the smoke and smells will be getting sucked into the engine bay! Even better if the car has an exhaust leak so the smell of exhaust covers any smells as he approaches the car from the rear.

Great! Now we have a STONED engine in a Fiero- Like we don't have enough troubles already.....

This '64 Impala could've used that custom roof/vent apparatus.
