Sad to hear of sardonyx247's passing I had sdo many brake problems with my Fiero, ordered and installed his modified S-10 booster, and what a world of difference it made! I remember Rodney attacking him from every direction about the bonjo he used and the way it was assembled. Luckily a lot of us stood up for him!

Two sad additions - Gene Weaver of Pottstown, PA passed away just before Thanksgiving. He went by DrmWevr/DrmWevr7 on here. He was way too young but sadly died from a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Tina and his children. https://www.schumacherandbe...Weaver?obId=34120410

Ron Yeager, of Plaistow, NH, also passed away over the holidays. Ron was a well-known and friendly face to many in the Fiero community. I'm not entirely sure if he was on Pennocks but a "RonnieD" from Plaistow does show up so it is possible. He is survived by his best friend, Alan, his girlfriend and children. https://www.brooksidechapel...ituary/ronald-yeager

Just found out one of the founding members of the Cleveland Fiero’s passed away in Nov.

Bud Newcomer of Akron Ohio.

He and his wife Dee were very strong Fiero supporters over the years.

I got to know them back in the late 80’s and have been great friends to me and my wife. We showed Fiero’s back when no one ever did.
Please pray for Dee and their son’s family.

Bud also was a Vet from the Vietnam war. He was on a Huey crew and was a proud Veteran.

One other I should have posted was Dave Stidd also the Cleveland Fiero’s. Dave was such a kind soul. He had a Formula and an 85 SE he turned into a pro street car. Dave Also was a Camaro club member.

He lost his sweet wife Marsh and his brothers and it really affected him. Dave would call just to talk. I remembered right before Daytona he would call and this year my friend never made that call.

I will miss both these great men.

We have lost a number of people from our club and it was a privilege yo be in the club with them.

I just found out that XxdjxX89 passed away last weekend. I went to message him about my 3800 progress and found out from his Facebook page. He was a fantastic guy and the Las Vegas Fiero community has lost an incredible member and a huge asset. I'm not sure about posting his personal information here, but I thought you all should know. I'm heartbroken...him and his dad took me to my first meetup in Las Vegas. He wasn't super active on the forum, but he was in the community.

It's so weird he has actually posted in this very thread (second post on this page) only nine months ago... RIP

As important as this thread is, I always hate seeing new posts in here because I know what it likely means. Life is valuable... take advantage of the time you have and remember what's important... family and friends.

It's with deep sadness we must let the world know of the passing of @lwrnc_drrn Darren Lawrence.

Darren was the kindest and most thoughtful person I've ever known. He always cared tremendously for others and gave his all in everything. He often looked for opportunities to serve others.

As a member of the greater car community he was frequently present at events, but often not in the spotlight. He preferred it that way. He was a Pontiac Fiero expert and owned 6 of them. Each one of those cars had custom work done to make them unique. His pride and joy was his 1986 Fiero named "Windy", in honor of his late grandfather. He was particularly outspoken on his distaste for the 1988 model year Fiero.

DJ's collection included the previously mentioned Fieros, as well as his Honda Accord wagon (done up like a hearse, with a coffin shaped roof rack and skeleton) named "the Creamator" and his grandpa's 1977 Chevy LUV in Pepsi brand livery.

He and his father were a dynamic dou; DJ would tinker mechanically and make the cars reliable while his dad would do the paint and auto body work. He was very close to his dad, and was always quick to point out details his father added. He was proud of his father.

Outside of working on cars, DJ was an accomplished musician. He played the guitar and was a member of the local band "Chasing Addiction."

As an employee, DJ was the best you could ask for. He always was willing to learn and grow. He invested in his talents and trade more than most would ever consider. He was always curious and sought to know not only how to fix things, but how they worked. He went out of his way to dive into carburetor tuning and was relentlessly reaching out to experienced individuals until he got the answers he needed. He applied that to all sorts of ambitions he had.

We'll all miss his comical daily commentary, love of chicken quesadillas, mountain dew, and hot beef jerky. The shop will be unfathomably lonely and quiet without him and replacing him simply will not be possible.

DJ, we miss you. We're heartbroken and we'll try to soldier on without you.

-Patrick
