While I am on a roll, here are pictures of the project MERA (1988). It is currently partially disassembled and will be sporting a 383 V8 when it is completed. I also plan to change the interior back to Beechwood (original color). The new interior will come from the other 88 Mera plus the spare parts that I have on hand. Maybe in a couple of years you will see a black or British Racing Green MERA with a decent interior.

Nelson, very nice collection! The gray color is actually pretty classy looking, I like it. As for your project Mera, are you planning to keep the red interior? LOL...it's a little over the top for a guy my age. I like your spacious garage too!
Rick, Mike, for the time being, the price for the 88 gold nose badge is slightly lower: $10. It's still $15.00 for the pair (2) of door tabs. That's because they are NOT clear coated.
The prices for the 87 silver/black is slightly higher since I'm taking the time to prep and clear coat them first. For a complete set (one nose badge and two door tabs), the price is $28.00.
I may eventually start to clear coat the 88 nose badges as well, in which case they will be the same price as the 87.
FYI, I'm only making a couple of bucks per badge on these. I paid $125 for the initial artwork setup. Then I still have to pay for each badge, tax, little ziploc bags, postage, deduction for paypal, etc.
Mike, I have some 87 sets (silver/black) ready to go if you're interested. You can paypay me at my e-mail address: masashi1955@hawaiiantel.net
BTW, these badges do not have any mounting tape, since I'm not sure if guys want to glue them down, or use their own mounting tape. For mounting emblems, I've found that this works pretty good:

Minor interior restoration in progress.
I was able to find a nice 88 dot matrix shift plate bezel to replace the one I have with the cig burn.
However, the orange shift indicator paint appeared to be all worn out, so you could not tell what gear you're in. So I used my dremel and a cone-shaped grinder to knock off two of the melted pins. This was enough to lift up on the white plastic piece and allow the indicater piece to slide off (the clear plastic "thingy" on the right edge of the pic).

I then sanded down the tip of the indicator and painted it with some red paint I had handy. I reassembled everything and put a small drop of crazy glue on the pins that I had ground down.
So now, I can easily see what gear I'm in! Just like new.

Next, I wanted to paint the ash tray doors a satin black. However, the problem with painting ash tray doors is that when the doors are snapped open, they bang into the edge of the bezel, and thus would ruin the paint.
So what I did was to cut very small pieces from some stick-on, no-slip dots I had handy. I then stuck them underneath the ash tray doors at these locations:

So now, when the ash tray doors are snapped open, they will hit on these stick-on pieces, and the top of the ash tray door will never touch the edge of the bezel. Here (looking from the bottom), you can see the ash tray door open, and its resting on the stick-on piece.

So from the top, when the ash tray door is snapped open, it won't even touch the bezel area (in the red rectangle), thus saving the paint job.

I know...small nitwad stuff. But that's me.

A couple of things I'm looking into.
My first idea is to have someone make a custom door sill like this:

Of course it would say "Corporate Concepts" instead of "Boss Mustang." And also engrave the funky Mera logo on each end, or maybe just the front end. Also what would be cool is to keep the "Limited Edition #xxx of 247" under the "Corporate Concepts." (uh...sorry Dan).
Thoughts?
I'm also looking into the gold/brass wheel center caps. My contact can only make a standard 2" circle plate, so I'm wondering if this would suffice?
And I still want to get some customized mats. I'll have to check with Lloyds.
