Thanks for trying and you are not the first to get similar responses. The Fiero store is the best bet but they are not large and 5 figures is a lot of money to sit on the shelf till you sell it.
This is not a matter of getting rich or not. The trouble is it can be done but it is not cheap and Fiero people don't like to pay much for parts generally,.
Maybe this will change as the cars gain value but till then it is the same stalemate.

The for us T top owners is this
#1 protect your seals with silicone on a regular basis.
#2 Do not do anything that will damage them like try to pry on them with something sharp etc.
#3 If buying a car with T tops make sure the seals are good. If not walk away.
#4 these are good quality seals and they will las decades. Mine are 39 years old and still seal like new. Selling a car because you are worried about the seals is point less unless you have a bad set. even then you can take a set from a Mustang Fox body and adapt them. It is not perfect but with today adhesives you can make them work. C& C did the Fox body tops.
The real risk is the glass on the tops and even side windows as they are hard to find in good condition, Most are damaged. The tops are important as you ,lose your Fiero death grip you lose your top. So store carefully and protect them.

I have been in contact with this company about making seals - the request was apparently submitted to the research and development office - but nothing back yet.
Maybe if someone else also approached them? They make a fair number of t-top seals already.

Several years ago I reached out to Metro rubber to see if current tooling for other t top seals could be somewhat modified to reproduce the Fiero units. I sent in a set from my car and after a few months, it was determined that current tooling wouldn't work and a new set had to be created. Unfortunately that caused the price shoot up to 40k and at least the potential of 500 near term orders. The rep that I was speaking to did a simple Google search on how many T-top Fiero were made (around 1200-1400). The numbers were low, but I did try to bargain with them on the option to also have them create new door seals (since at the time there wasn't an aftermarket option for new).
Needless to say, my seals were eventually returned back to me and the T-top seal creation ended once again.
I still encourage others to try every once an awhile, as reproductions methods can change or other companies may have different processes that make product creation simpler/affordable. Metro was willing to continue and have done one-off orders, but was done because people/groups were willing to pay to have it done.

Were some people not using modified Mustang P seals? I think that's what the previous owner installed on my TTOP but I'm not sure. I was thinking of picking up a 2nd set as spares since those are still available.

Some folks have claimed to use parts and seals from Mustangs and 4th gen Camaro's.
Never saw the final results but some have tried it.
We are just the victim of numbers.
The truth is nearly 8,000 kits were made. Now some of these kits were broken down and used as warranty parts so the installs will be maybe 7,000 as an estimate.
So you have some where over 6000 plus kits out there and how many have been scrapped. Then you have people that don't need the seals and that just keeps cutting it down.
To make these the normal way will probably always be too expensive. The only hope we have is that their is a cheaper way to MFG these like as in printing or some kind of lost cast molding process.
We just have too few people willing or needing to buy and this drives the prices up and on some cars it could be as much as one paid for the car.
At some point we will have issues with he lack of glass too. We already see that is side glass and T tops it will happen too soon as it is.
Im not trying to be doom and gloom here as this is just the way it is. Many cars face the need of a rare part but too few need it or are willing to pay the price.
Too bad the original tooling may have been scrapped.
Now if we have an enterprising machinist here they could make molds but not many can do this.
