Looks like it's in a place called Debary?? Clayton and Sons is the name of the place. Ooh, how bout this:

Clayton & Sons
761 South Charles Richard Beall Boulevard
DeBary, Florida 32713
Tel: 386-668-8173

BTW, I've been told that this car has been picked clean since these pics were taken. It would be great though for the 88 database if somebody close by could get the VIN number.

DeBary is on I-4 by Lake Monroe.... Halfway between Orlando and Daytona.

Call them and explain the reason you'd like the VIN. Ask someone to snap a pic of it to text you.
Put an ad on Craigslist or Facebook looking for someone going to the yard to snap a pic to send you.

I am in possession of the coveted VIN #. I would divulge it but it must be a State secret ? I was so easy to get, even a cave man could have gotten it.

The VIN # ... drum roll please ... Click to show

I also have recent pics, two days old, of what's left of said 88 GT T top. The VIN # and pics, all for the time to make a phone call.

I wrecked my 88 GT T top. Minor sort of, but the parts ... I was looking at close to two hundred dollars. For one side of the front suspension. Being an 88, I decided to get a whole suspension, in case of future needs. Now, I am looking at $400 to $500 dollars. This salvage yard sold me the complete suspension for $150.00. That savings paid my way to Florida to pick it up, but wait, it get's better.

While I am here, what else do I want from this Fiero ? I don't need anything. The front and rear bumper facias look remarkably good. I am getting both for $100.00, upon my personal visual inspection. They wanted $150.00 each.

On top of that, , my Dad lives in Lake City Florida.

You all have a small window. I am here. My phone # is 210 471 1192. I will be at that salvage yard in about four hours. I will take pics, inspect parts, and negotiate prices of things you are interested in.

I also have the pics they texted to me. I am not computer smart and I Phone dumb, don't like to text, but I can forward text pics. Someone is going to have to host them on the forum though.

I'm glad you got it. And relieved some of us the anxiety that it would escape. Some of these yards around here would've turned over by now.

I learned a new appreciation of the request "looking for a rust free Fiero".

When I got to the salvage yard they had the 88 up in the air via large forklift, (yes, both coolant pipes shot). The front suspension was stage five cancer.

The front facia, badly cracked. The rear one looked good I think (it was up in the air). The parts puller was going to lower the Fiero so I could evaluate worthy parts but the proprietor needed him on something else and was disappointed he wasted his time and I guess his loss of a sale. He was nice enough to me and I felt guilty for wasting his time.

Here I am in Florida. Anyone have Larry Hubberts phone number ? I understand he has 88 front suspensions. Call him and give him my phone number (210 471 1192)

Thanks.

Oh yeah, ... it is my opinion that this VIN# will never see the road again.
