A Real Mera in Paradise (Page 21/713)

I have my MERA letters off the car due to a recent paint job and am trying to clean them prior to reinstallation. I can e-mail you a fairly high quality picture of original MERA letters if that would help. I would also include them with a ruler in the shot to give the proper sizes. Let me know if you want the photo and I will take it this week.

I'd need a sharp, close up shot of the original lettering to try and mimic it the best. I can also recreate the original MERA wheel centers if that hasn't already been done.

I see about the R though. I'll work on it. I like to do these things for my own as it's good practice for my real job (one of the things I do is recreate old jet tail flashes/designs and squadron patches)... so if no one ends up using any of this, I won't mind.

I picked up a set of stock lace type wheels from Bob Bracey's wife's MERA (a white 88 with an auto transmission) and it came with the black and silver design wheel centers. Maybe the color was a function of the vehicle color instead of the year. Any thoughts on this or maybe she just liked this color better and swapped the centers.

I have a set of original MERA wheel centers for the lace wheels that came off Bob Bracey's wife's car. They are a bit different from Rodney's current decals which use a black design on silver/gray vinyl. The ones that I have appear to be a black design on a clear vinyl that have been applied to the standard type of Fiero metallic center cap. They work well on the conventional wheels but are too shallow for the 88 Chromadoras.

If you or I can could locate the correct depth and diameter wheel centers, I have already spoken with someone about pricing for providing domed vinyl stickers. There is a set up charge but I would pay that if there is some interest in several people getting sets.

What center caps are correct for the 88 Chromadoras?

Sure.

I do not really know. Both of my Chromadora sets had the external large cover over the lug nuts. One had no small center caps at all and the other one had Ferrari Horse center caps.

Your lug nuts are also incorrect. The correct lug nuts are the OEM GM Fiero lug nuts with the black plastic covers.

I guess these are the correct Mera center caps in the framed emblems. Anyone have these on their Chromadoras?

I have them on my 88 lace style wheels but they are too shallow to fit on the Chromadoras even though the diameter is OK.
