New Door/Sunroof/Trunk Seals And More (Page 2/2)

Ok, I just e-mailed them and asked them to advertise on Pennock's.

I ordered new door seals, the door moldings, the hood latch molding (my daughter had to make her own), and the trunk foam liner.

I'm pretty excited... I hope the door seals are actually good. I have had bad experiences with buying door seals on other cars, like the VW Bus. They're never as good as the OEM, so we'll see. I wonder if this company was the one that made all the door seals for the Fiero Store?

I'm pretty excited... we've needed door seals for a really long time.

Awesome information. Ironically the company posted over in the Mall today and I linked them over to this post.

This company is now learning that, if you want to catch fish, you have to fish where the fish are.

Not all Fiero owners want to swim in the Facebook swamp.

And that's the problem. You have a website that has been dedicated to the Fiero for 26 years yet people still post ONLY over there. I log in once in a while for this very reason, to steal important info and share it on here.

I'm right there with you. I really cannot stand Facebook. I created an account there back in like... 1999? Maybe 2000. I just didn't get the point. It seemed weird to me that you would create a "page" about yourself. I realize that's so normal now, but it seemed so incredibly pretentious back then, and I think I just found it weird.

I also think though that for many people, Facebook is quick and easy for them, and it's what their other friends use. I'm a Gen-X too... so of course, my friends are also on it. I don't have an account. I mean, I guess I do, but I haven't logged into it in over 20 years. If my friends need to get in touch with me through Facebook, they reach out to my wife who has one. I just can't stand it! Haha...

I knew most of this stuff was out but I never heard people wanting more than window seals and T top seals. Also I see many good ones on parts cars. Sorry. I should have posted.

As for Facebook. It is for people who like to show off their lives. Their trips and what they bought etc. over a large group. I could care less.

If you are young it is the new phone or car. Old it is the same grand kids over and over with a trip to Europe tossed in. Then that cat women with their cats.

Never liked it like a Car Forum.

Anyone want me to post my photos of Malibu last spring here LOL!

Hey guys, just wanted to give a quick update. I got my order (for my daughter's car) from Metro Moulded Parts, and they are AWESOME.

The quality is fantastic... I cannot express this enough. I bought a few things... the rubber caps for the doors, the hood latch seal, the headlight bumpers (which are super supple) and a set of door seals.

Now... I have not yet installed the door seals, and probably won't get to that for a few months just because my daughter isn't planning on doing that yet. But they're bagged in a bag that specifically says Metro Moulded Parts, and everything is made in America. Literally, they actually make these things here. I talked to several people in the company (which they were kind enough to respond to my e-mails). Tony and Sophia. I kind of hounded them for any logos or anything that I could include for my daughter's YouTube channel when she installs them. She likes to include as much information as she can from the manufacturers that make the parts for our cars. She says (and I quote), "Rodney Dickman is the GOAT!" (which for the kids means, "Greatest Of All Time").

Anyway, the seals for the door are amazing... they are really, really supple. I've purchased a lot of door seals for a lot of cars. Two complete sets for a C4 Corvette (my neighbor bought a **** pair from China and they sucked) and then I bought a pair for my Corvette, and I bought a set for my 73 VW Bus which never really fit right. All of these seals just felt crappy. The ones from Metro Moulded Parts just feel like so much better quality... hard to explain.

I'm going to buy another set for my Fiero (which is in storage)...

I knew about Metro Molded parts years back when we were restoring a 1966 Studebaker Commander. At that time Metro displayed at the Hershey Auto show that drew like 250K people.
Over the years I lost touch with the company and just found out about the Fiero parts.
As for Facebook, they sell your personal info so I stay away from that platform. The whole world doesn't need to know what we are doing.

The Bu I am talking about is the beach where Jim Rockford trailer was in Paradise Cove.

But my rental car was a Malibu. Not one you want pictures of.
