It’s surprising to me in this day and age a stranger would expect to be invited to my home and inspect an item available for sale in an online auction. Sorry you missed out.

That's fair enough, but to post in this forum about it is literally asking people to ask questions and want to see more about it, potentially in person. If it was "just an online auction", it would stay on eBay, very little "advertisement", but to link to it here, which is a forum, people expect more information, and more openness.

Not really, dude. The post was explicitly a heads-up about the eBay auction because this seemed like a group who’d want to know about it. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Peace.

Precisely, a group that would want to know about it, often people have more questions, and if they are near, it is common sense to go look at something, auction or not

I can understand the OP's position. She was simply bringing this eBay auction to the attention of the members of a Fiero forum. She was under no obligation to provide special viewing privileges. Not having done so might've possibly hindered getting an even higher price for this go-cart ($3000 seems like plenty to me!)... but that's totally her business and her decision to make.

Anyway, I'm just copying all the images here, so that there'll remain a visual record of this vehicle long after the eBay listing has expired/vanished.

Thank you, Patrick!

No problem, Beth. I appreciate that you gave members here a heads-up in regards to this Fiero related auction.

The more important question....Beth, do you have any more dealer related items to sell?
bethidee APR 17, 08:49 PM
I wish I did! Most were sold on eBay over a year ago.

Sorry, this is exactly one of the patterns of modern day automotive scams. It's there but you can't see it as it's stored elsewhere. It usually follows that you have to contact a company upon purchase that will facilitate the delivery as I am not local to it and they give you a fake contact company and blah de blah de blah.

Im glad you told our community about it and hope it works out for the person who bid before me. I put a $3k bid on it but someone else had that same amount earlier so it went to them. That was the highest I was willing to risk and would have only paid in person after seeing it. Hope to see it out in the car club circuits! Glad your dad saved one for posterity!!!!!!!!
