I am in the Centerburg area which is somewhat close to Columbus. I have some numbers of some places to call in Ohio. They are not collision repair places but more like restoration places. The are scattered everywhere from Mansfield, Celina and Ashland. I going to make some calls and see what I find out.
I really appreciate all of the feedback that everyone has given. I have a budget in mind and the numbers that are being tossed around in this thread are helping me in that area.
Thanks again for all of the advice and suggestions. You guys are awesome. |

I have been using M and T Body in Hinckley Ohio. Not a fancy place but they do a very good job.
He used to do restoration but focuses on crashed Benz and luxury vehicles. He is in a higher end area and they crash a lot and pay.
It is off 71 near Brunswick and Medina.
My hood was a very poorly done piece of fiberglass and they were the only ones to get it right.[This message has been edited by hyperv6 (edited 04-07-2022).]

Thank you for the tip hyperv6. I have been to Medina a couple of times. My wife does agility with her French Bulldog and they have had events in Medina.
I am after someplace that does quality work. I will need some minor fiberglass work done as well so I have been trying to find places that can do both. It sounds like this "M and T Body" might be able to do that.
Thank you again for posting the advice.

Give them a call and see if he is still doing non collision work. It has Been over a year since I have been there. We stripped parts off a Fiero he had.

If you are prepared to do the proper prep work yourself and just need the car spray painted some Macco's can do a good job at a fair price. If you go this route and have them use a solid urethane color, you can always color sand and buff later for a perfect finish. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. Check out getting your car wrapped. It should cost about $3,500. They last about 7-8 years. If it's not a daily driver it will last a lot longer. Just get it primed and then wrapped.

That is a interesting idea wilberto. I have not seen ... or maybe I did not know what I was looking at ... a fiero wrapped. I wonder if anyone has any experience with wraps on the Fiero.

Search out member rogergarrison, he owned a paint shop in Columbus and can probably give you some guidance.

I've had zero luck finding a shop willing to take on just painting the car, they're either backed up with insurance claims or the car is too new. I am the point where I'm done looking for a shop and will do it myself. I don't have any credible experience yet but I've got the patience to learn how.
I haven't started a build thread not sure it's worthy of that, if anyone has suggestions wants to collaborate shoot me a pm.
Good luck on your search,
Chuck
