Does this work for non-apple users? i.e. Is there an app for android? Also even if the car were taken toa remote location, you'd still have hits along the route until it left civilization so at least you'd have some bread crumbs and could sort of piece together where the car was heading.

I imagine that in some instances, the thief may be unaware enough to allow his own iPhone to act as a relay station for a stolen vehicle's tag.

Yes, there’s an app for Android, but it’s relatively new and doesn’t have all the capabilities the iOS version does, at least not yet. I happen to be an Android user, but I use my work-issued iPad to manage our Tile system.
