BarnFindInMyBarn , Welcome to PFF.
I agree, the car was reshot at some point. As jonrev said, the panels were shot before installation.
It's a nice looking car, after schooling the current owner of the original sliver color, see what "adjusted price" he's asking for.[This message has been edited by CoolBlue87GT (edited 08-10-2020).]

As much overspray as I see in the photo I would easily say this was non factory repaint.
The factory paint changes are like normal paint not a bad repaint.

The first t-top car was a yellow 84 fiero notchie used as a prototype to see if it can be done. That is 100% true. 1/1 - really interesting body panels used!

Yep, repainted.
Too much over spray and as mentioned the panels are painted off the car. See the 15:23 mark of this video:
Mirrors were never painted body color from the factory. Plus it is not the "factory" yellow that GM did use on the 88 - the tint is wrong (it's too "yellow" whereas it should be more on the orange side. You could also check the underside of the rockers (although if removed they could be painted on the bottom as well).
Even if it was a special factory order, the proper paint codes would be on the label - that is what body shops use to paint the car should it be required. [This message has been edited by Mickey_Moose (edited 08-14-2020).]
