There's no argument from me. Yes, the hood vents I installed reduce LIFT during the 5% of my driving where LIFT might be an issue. The hood vents also prevent my headlight covers from popping up during the .000001% of my driving when I'm doing over 100 MPH. But the hood vents help to cool my engine 100% of the time while I'm driving. My rad fan rarely ever needs to come on, despite the fact I have a power pulley installed (the water pump and alternator turn slower)... and I've got Rodney's 210° on and 200° off fan switch installed.

The point I was mostly trying to make in my earlier post, was that in my experience, hot air coming out of the hood vents is not traveling along the top of the hood and in any measurable degree being sucked into the cowl/ventilation system.

I've used this hood on three different Fieros so far.

Creaky, that’s what I have and that’s what I did.87 GT and painted the grey. I was never a huge fan of the two tone, just not my personal style. I painted the lower and thought it looked like a new car.

I'm starting on it today, thanks much.

BTW, has anyone seen a GT two tone stripe like the one on my car? Is this a one-off deal or something that was available from a vendor in the past?

I suspect it's aftermarket. I had similar type decals custom made from an eBay vendor for both my Formula and my Subaru Impreza STI.

American Exotic- I like your idea but I think you could use a better grill; On my side scoops I used the grill that mounts under the deck vents on notchbacks.

I would agree cvxjet, your grill looks more honeycomb and mine more squared off. I might have to give that a shot. Where did you find that ? Thanks for the input👍

I got mine from my old rear grills when I converted my 85 SE V6 to 86-88 GT rear bodywork. But I have been planning on converting the rear tail lights to two LED slot lights per side (Like old Pontiac taillights) with some of this grillwork across the whole opening. I have found some of this grillwork in a larger size on Amazon- but haven't decided which version/size I need.....and it is a bit expensive....Do a search on Amazon for "Hex Grill Mesh".....(Here is some that is a larger "Cell" size (0.45")

Very Cool, I’ll look into the honeycomb. Might give me an excuse to visit the local scrap yard. All sorts Vehicles have front grills That have more of a honeycomb look to them. Or atleast see what else is out there. Also, please keep us informed how your LED tail lights work out. I’ve been thinking the same thing for a while now but haven’t pulled the trigger on that one, YET. Thanks

I think it looks good, I'm not too sure about the Pegasus emblem, but it's not my car. I love the smoked lens covers, they look great. I also really like that chin spoiler, where did you get it?
