Been driving the car a bit more. The turn stalk/switch fixed the cruise control. But, I am getting the dreaded Code 32 EGR check engine light. First stock Fiero I have had a check engine light illuminate. Engine seems to run fine. So will need to deal with that. Interestingly , the car has settled nearly 3/4 of an inch in the front suspension since the alignment and driving it more miles. Rear has unfortunately stayed the same height. A hair over 4 1/2" is not my idea of fun for the front clearance! I may have to install full height springs to get more front ground clearance. Pretty sure I cut just one coil, as well as 1" lowering ball joints. So, to get correct alignment and a better ride height it looks like disassembly of the front suspension may be in my future. Really just trying to fix the niggly neglected things this summer and perhaps deal with the suspension next winter. My V8 Fiero is awaiting a Fitech fuel injection, power locks and power windows. The 84 SC car needs to finally have the air conditioning hooked up and charged. Almost done with that. Thanks for looking.

Finally received the title, registration, and plates form the Covid semi closed DMV. So had to go out in the warm late evening to take a few pictures showing the "ROKIT" plate which sort of refers to the Caddy tail lights and park lights. Well the plate can be seen from the rear in these pics, but not from the front. Front plate really detracts from the look but Oregon requires it. Car is pretty much finished up except to charge the air conditioning. Of course that is until something breaks or goes haywire

Does Oregon have historic or special interest license plates?
Missouri requires a front tag also but has a provision for "year of manufacture" historic plates. Only a rear tag is required with the "year of manufacture" tags.

Yes, Oregon has historical/special interest plates. We have it on my wife's 66 Corvette. But, there are restrictions on how the car can be used. Driving is limited to parades, exhibitions, club activities and similar functions. In the application, it states that there is a traffic infraction if caught using outside of the regulations as well as a cancellation of the special interest registration. There is only a rear plate used for special interests. It may be an option when this current registration runs out. As I recall, it is a one time fee, as well.

Happy New Year . Wishing for a better, more tranquil new year for everyone. Thought I might revive this old thread with a few minor updates to the Rokit. I raised the front of the car nearly an inch by using spring rubbers between the front coils. It was thought of as temporary because of bottoming of the tire against the fender well during suspension jounce. Well, it works great, and has no detrimental effects, so may become permanent. The car had settled too much after assembly which then created the issue. Also upgraded the interior a little with a new auto shifter handle by Dickman, new shifter boot and a new handbrake boot. Also added some fake carbon fiber/chrome accent to the door sill. Installed a new stereo unit, since I could not get any of my Fiero radio's to work correctly. Last thing on the check list is recharging the AC, and everything should be working. A least for a while. Also tried the Ceramic spray on wax that seems to be the rage on the Crossfire forums. The product I used was made by Turtle Wax. Really easy to use and does actually make the paint shine better with very little effort. Thanks for looking.
Prior to wax and raising front of car. Can't seem to get the current picture to load.

Since the world is still turning, thought I'd update the mini wide body. I added the front and rear trunk covers from RW Upholstery and used, but new looking Rodney Dickman SS vac lines. Engine actually seems to run better with the new vac lines. Maybe a leak? It has been so wet up here in Northwest Oregon so far this spring that the cars have been sequestered in the garage. Weather's gotta break sometime soon. Happy Fieroing!

Well, finally took the Rokit "mini wide body" car to a show today. Clatskanie Heritage Days show , about twenty miles away. Weather has been cold so far this early summer. That is until today when it was 90 plus at the show. Had a good time with friends and club members and so on. Most of you know how these shows go. Well I was worried that the heat (i know for some, 90 isn't hot, but in Northwest Oregon that is a really warm day) would cause some blistering on the car since I had the start of blisters sometime ago. Yep, innumerable ones now. That is the bad news. The good news is the car won best 80-89 car at the show. I was real surprised and happy about that until I started thinking about what we are going to do with the paint/bodywork failures. I'll attach a couple pictures of the trophy once the car was back in the cluttered garage. Didn't take a single picture at the show. Too busy telling car stories with friends. Thanks for looking.
