Try Gimp, it's free. Even more powerful than PS, but long learning curve.

Nice idea guys! That would look great if someone could CNC that on 1/4" aluminum or s/s, and then have the color of the car show thru. I imagine that would be pretty pricey, though.

Well, I picked up the first order of 87 Mera nose badges, and was disappointed.

Not in the laser engraving...that's flawless. But it just doesn't look right, like the gold one, without the border. Second order will be going in next week, so stand by.

In the meanwhile, I may consider sticking them here...later...maybe. I don't want to overdo it...less is more, I think.

Quality looks superb! Who does those for you?

In my work with the Air Force, we need to make a lot of plaques. I use this gal who owns her own shop near Pearl Ridge Shopping Center. She recently upgraded to a new laser engraver; combined with her artistic talent, she does really nice work.

them's the bomb. but, I agree they need the silver border around. still better that none at all, thanks for the effort Tom. as mentioned eariler "YOU THE MAN".

P.S. they would make great key chain plaques or something of the such.
i'd try putting one on a truckers hat, and maybe a coffee mug. for starters. Then get the bordered ones for car. if you need to
find a home for dem, please do not hesitate to PM. : ) Later-
Dan

LOL...good suggestions Dan for the "rejects." I don't think they would stand up to the abuse for a key chain, but that gives me a idea since my engraver also does custom key chains. Now that she has the artwork in her data base, she could engrave this on almost any flat surface. Hmmm....I'll have to check with her on the possibilities. A mug might may work, but it may stress the black area to make the curvature of the cup.

Tell you what...I'll send one of the "rejects" to you for "testing and evaluation" purposes. In the mail today.

This something more along the lines of what you wanted?

I made it from scratch in Illustrator so it can be any size you want with whatever changes you'd like.

Looks great! i love the whole "Screw Ferrari!" thought concept. ;] a fiero's a fiero, and should be viewed as one. it's special.

and EVERYBODY'S got a ferarri, nowadays. only, like, 500 people have meras (i think it was 500. i don't even know what ta mera is, to be honest [special edition fiero, is my guess.])

anyway... keep it up! it really does look good.
