Looks like a good race was it on video? You need to work on that reaction time though! How cold was it?

warm 60 + humid (again, sigh). No video it seems... someone said they were going to tape but didnt... the track day was pretty horrible overall.

My rx time is just me learning how to launch the turbo.. It is a very fine line between 1.6 60's and 1.9's.

I would of like to get a couple more runs and work on my launch. A taller tire would have been nice too, or some valve springs, The valve float held 4th gear at 5600 rpm which seemed like forever.

Am I correct in assuming that Justin's "bone stock motor" is a 3800 V6?

These are some seriously fast times and I am assuming that most people could/would do better times with more experience/time and attempts. As dragging does take precise revs and changes. There would be older guys that may have more experience but may love their cars too much to achieve the best times. I would think that a best time is something that is rarely achieved due to either not thrashing it enough or lack of drag driver experience. There just is always a lot of time inconstancies in 1/4 miles which have led to engine swap decisions and discussions etc. Some want what they believe is fastest configuration some want horse power others a balanced weight. I have a stock 2.8 so i may be even mislead in my own mind about the amount of revs required to shift gears between all the possible configurations of engines and boxes. It does however make interesting reading to see just how damn fast you guys are getting. Whaaar

Once again, FieroX has raised the bar another notch... 10.20 @ 135.75 MPH.

edit to add: I changed the color of his entry to orange, to match the new paint job on "X".
