Dick, I have BFG Radial TAs, P245/60R15 all around. Don't particularly like them, but they came with the car. Had to replace two of them (separate times) due to air bubbles under the tread. I think 50 series would fit the well a little better (side-to-side), but wouldn't the gap on the top be more? With the Mera lowered one inch, I believe 50 series would look awesome.

Here is tire height on my 50s - 245/50-15 24.65", 265/50-15 25.43". Tire height on your 60s is 26.57"and my rears are about in inch wider. My car has not been lowered to my knowledge--here's how they look. As you can see the car rides a little high. Please note, 245/50-15s and 225/55-15 are no longer available.

How about the tires sizes GM Plastic is running? They seem to fill the fender openings because they are a little taller.

Tom,

That car has been listed for a long time. I looked at it before I purchased mine. It has dropped from 13k down to 10k. If the guy would spend some money detailing the car and especially the engine (yuck), I think he could sell it. I'd rather pay 10 for yours any day, if my wife would let me have another one.
